Paid Plans FAQ

Short Version

This post explains the app's transition to a paid model to cover growing operating costs, some or all of which may be tax deductible depending on your circumstances.

Full Version: Why has the app changed to a paid model?

Since I first released FastUKCompanySearch in 2018, it has become one of the highest-rated Companies House search apps on both Apple and Google app stores.

I have continued to add features based on user feedback, which now requires significant ongoing investment.

The paid plans help me dedicate the right amount of time to support the app long term and deliver improvements faster.

What is a lookup?

A lookup means opening a company details page in the app. For example, if you search for a company and open one result, that counts as a lookup.

Repeat lookups are free while your subscription is active, so you can reopen viewed company profiles, PSC data, officer data, charges and filing history as often as needed.

Lookup balance renews monthly and unused lookups do not roll over.

How many officer and disqualified officer searches are included?

As long as you have either an active paid subscription or a pay-as-you-go plan with at least one lookup remaining, officer and disqualified officer searches are free.

Can I use the paid version on multiple devices?

Yes. You can use your account across multiple devices and request a login code on each device using the paid account email.

Does the app have a trial period?

Yes. New users get a 21-day trial. After 7 days, registration is requested. After 21 days, a paid account is required for continued access.
