Features

FastUKCompanySearch helps UK accountants and bookkeepers keep on top of every client's Companies House and HMRC deadlines. Track due dates, get reminders before they're due, tick work off as it's done, and search Companies House, on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web with one account.

Deadlines you can track

Add a company to your favourites and its Accounts and confirmation statement dates are tracked straight away. VAT is tracked once you enter the company's latest VAT period. You can also choose extra dates to track for each company, and Self Assessment and Making Tax Digital dates for each person, and receive news and reminders for each one.

  • Corporation Tax: CT600 dates are prepopulated from the Companies House year end, not pulled from HMRC. You can edit them if they need to be different. You enter the year end once, and future due dates are calculated automatically.
  • PAYE FPS: set each company's payday (for example the 25th, the 28th or the last Friday) when you choose it. Reminders follow the payroll.
  • VAT: enter the latest VAT period once, and the next due dates are worked out for you.
  • Bank holidays are not taken into account.

Reminders by push and email

You don't need to open the app to stay on top of things. Reminders are worked out on our server and sent to you.

  • Two reminders, then one if overdue

Each date gets two reminders before it's due (the table above shows how many days before), and one more if it becomes overdue.

  • Push notifications and email

Choose push notifications on your phone, email, or both. Email reminders need a verified email address. You can change this at any time in the app's Notifications settings or under My Account on the web.

  • One message, not dozens

Reminders for all your companies arrive together in one message, so a busy week doesn't flood your inbox.

  • Stop when it's done

Tick a date as done and its reminders stop. They start again for the next one.

Tick off work as it's done

Your favourites list doubles as a task list. Every tracked date sits on the company's card, so you can see at a glance what's due, what's overdue and what's done.

  • Amber: due soon
  • Red: overdue
  • Green tick: done
  • Tick a date done

Ticking a date stops its reminders. Dates saved once, like the year end behind CT600, move on a year each time you tick the date off.

  • Filter and sort

Filter by company name or number, or by dates, and sort by the deadline that matters to you, so the next jobs are always at the top.

  • Card view or table view

See each company as a card with all its dates, or as a table with a column per deadline. On the app you can also change the text size.

Bulk import your clients

Already have a client list? You don't need to add each company by hand. Put your clients' Companies House company numbers in a CSV file, for example saved from Excel, and import them in one go. Their deadlines are tracked from then on, just like companies you add from search.

  • Up to 500 at a time

Import up to 500 companies in one file on the web version. For more, split them across several files.

  • See what was added

After the import you see which companies were added, which were skipped because they were already in your favourites, and any that could not be added.

  • Due dates follow

Imported companies can take up to 24 hours to show the latest due dates.

Keep watch on your clients' companies

  • Company news

When Companies House records a change to a favourite company, such as a new filing, a change of officers or persons with significant control (PSC), a new charge, an insolvency case or a change to its details, it shows up as news for that company in the app, and you can get it by email too.

  • Identity verification checks

See upcoming Companies House identity checks for the officers and PSCs of your favourite companies, with reminders before they are due. If a status is not available from Companies House, Unknown is shown.

Find companies, officers and disqualified officers. Open a company to see its profile, officers, persons with significant control, charges and filing history, and add it to your favourites with one tap.

Opening a company's details page counts as a lookup. Reopening a company you have already viewed is free while your subscription is active, and officer and disqualified officer searches are included. See the paid plans FAQ.

Where the data comes from

  • Companies House

Company details, filings, officers, PSCs, charges, insolvency cases, identity verification status, and Accounts and confirmation statement due dates all come from Companies House.

  • HMRC deadlines

VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE, CIS, Self Assessment and MTD dates are not pulled from HMRC. They are worked out from HMRC's deadline rules and the details you enter, such as the year end, VAT period or payday. Corporation Tax dates can be edited if a company's are different.
